Welcome Address Most banking innovation in banking is coming mostly from customer-facing channels. From online banking to mobile banking to branch of the future, it is innovation in product access, not the products themselves that are changing. The one exception is payments, where new methods and functionalities are hitting the market. Bart Narter |

Branch of The Future: Getting There From Here Financial institutions have had to manage a growing array of distribution channels, and branch infrastructures are showing signs of neglect. With declining foot traffic in branches, a growing number of financial institutions are feeling pressure to evolve their branch networks to keep them efficient, effective, and relevant. But how do you get there from here? This panel discussion will address these challenges and feature perspectives of banks that have been well down the path to the branch of the future. Moderator:

How Banks Should Think About Payments Innovation Celent has found a large amount of innovation in the payments space, often driven by players outside of the banking industry. However, these initiatives have a low success rate and a long lead time before they reach critical mass. This session will review a selection of innovative payments startups and describe a framework of how a new payment solution should be evaluated. It will also provide examples of banks and established payment organizations that have been innovating successfully over the years, as well as suggest how others should approach payments innovation. Mobile Banking: The Evolution From 1.0 to 2.0 The vast majority of mobile banking transactions are reminiscent of Internet banking 1.0, which was summarized rather neatly as, "your statement on a screen." Balance inquiries, recent transactions, and mini-statements dominate mobile usage. Bill pay, alerts, and account to account (A2A) transfers round out the most used features. How and when will consumers move to the next generation of functionality? Mobile remote deposit capture could be a game changer, dropping branch visits even further. Using the mobile phone as a payment device could also be a game changer. What's coming next? Moderator:
